Our purpose is to empower, support and advocate for Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals to become thriving members of the community through services and partnerships that increase their participation in society. To aid partners to create programs that foster inclusion.

Language Services

In-Person Interpreting Services

We offer in-person interpretation services in Spanish, Japanese to all service providers in the greater Battle Creek and Kalamazoo region. All of our interpreters are trained and language tested, and abide by NCIHC protocols. Our interpreters are local and ready to serve you in an emergency or scheduled in advance. Phone Based Interpreting

In addition to the languages listed above (for in-person interpreting), Voces offers phone-based interpreting in more than 200 languages. These services are available 24 hours on demand. Voces can also provide in-language reception services for your organization. To request phone-based interpreting, contact our Language Access team.

Document Translation Services

Voces offers document translation services in Spanish, and will translate either from English into the required language, or translate documents into English from another language. Workforce ESL

Foster Community in your Language-Diverse Workplace by offering On-Site ESL Classes. This program improves communication between supervisors, employees, and coworkers. Voces will customize classes to your company's specific needs. Classes are offered on site to make them accessible to all employees. For more information, contact our Language Access team.


Federal regulations mandate that anyone seeking service at institutions partially or wholly funded through federal dollars may need to provide language assistance services, such as interpreters and translated documents, at no cost to the individual seeking service. Language Access at Voces is here to help you meet that requirement, and to help your LEP clients and customers feel welcome.
